Before starting the cPanel update, ensure you have an active license from Reliable License. If you don’t have one yet, you can purchase it directly from Our License Store
Always update cPanel through the official process for maximum stability and security. Our license allows you to update your cPanel directly from the official cPanel repository.
Please follow the steps below to update your cPanel version:
01. Connect to your server via SSH as the root user (do not perform this step inside the cPanel terminal).
02. Then run this command.
/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/upcp --forceDon’t worry, even though it’s a force update command, it is safe and stable. It will automatically update cPanel to the newest version. This usually takes around 15 to 20 minutes, depending on your server’s network speed and CPU performance.
03. Run your license activation command. The license file can occasionally break during a system update.
bash <( curl https://api.reliablelicense.com/pre.sh ) cPanel; reliveCP04. Finally, run the cPanel fix command to automatically resolve any remaining issues after the update.
/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/check_cpanel_pkgs --fixAlternatively, run the Reliable License cPanel fix command:
reliableCP -fixAfter completing these steps, your cPanel update is finished. Rebooting the server to refresh the system is optional.
