# DirectAdmin Troubleshoot

Sometimes, the DirectAdmin installer may not create or properly display the administrator account. To set up the DirectAdmin admin account manually, please run the following command:

```
cd /usr/local/directadmin

./directadmin install 
  --adminname=admin 
  --adminpass='YOUR-PASSWORD'
```

> adminname - The DirectAdmin administrator username. We recommend using the default `admin`
>
>
>
> adminpass - A secure password for the DirectAdmin administrator account.
